We are all quirky and different in our own ways, even when it comes to our oral hygiene! So let’s talk toothpaste; more specifically, how we squeeze our toothpaste out. We’ve heard a number of ways touted as the “correct” way to squeeze a toothpaste tube. It’s especially fun to hear a child’s take on how to properly squeeze out toothpaste. Does the way a person squeezes a toothpaste tube say anything about their personality? Here are some of the most common methods and possible connections we’ve come across.
- From the Bottom
- From Somewhere in the Middle
- Anywhere Possible
Do you start from the bottom of the tube? Do you roll or fold all of the excess paste up as you go, making sure to leave none behind? If so, you might be the perfectionist who avoids waste. You want the world to know that you are reliable, dedicated, and hardworking. You are a very thrifty, caring, and tidy person.
Do you give a gentle squeeze in the middle of your tube of toothpaste, not really thinking of where you need to be squeezing from? When you start running out, you just find the next spot that is full to squeeze from. If so, you might be the realist that doesn’t fuss about the little things and instead focuses on the big picture. You are a very logical and balanced person. You strive to see the world without bias clouding your view.
Do you squeeze the tube from anywhere, with your entire hand, regardless of the mess you are about to make? There’s probably even some leftover toothpaste outside of the tube, huh? You may even regularly leave the cap off. If so, you might be the surrealist. You have the ability to view the world much differently than others, through colors, contours, and music. You can find beauty in unlikely places. You may be untidy and often late, but creativity and artistry come very easily for you.
How do YOU squeeze your toothpaste out? We like any method, as long as you’re using it with a soft-bristled toothbrush twice a day for two minutes each time!
